The transit authority is staging 50 free outdoor performances across Midtown.
Free This Week
Some things in the city cost nothing. Here are a few.
- The MTA’s musicians are performing above ground. The transit authority is staging 50 free outdoor performances across Midtown through October 22. Your subway platform soundtrack is now available on the street.
- The Brooklyn Museum is on the road again. Its Museum on Wheels project is operating out of a gleaming truck somewhere in the borough.
- The Brooklyn Public Library has a new exhibition called “Unbound.” The show, by a Brooklyn artist and children’s book author, is on view through December 27.
- The Manhattan Municipal Building offers a new view of the city. The mayor’s office is now providing free rooftop tours, which do not come with a hefty price tag.
Our bar is open Thursday through Sunday in Bushwick.
